Clomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), used mainly in female infertility due to anovulation (e.g. due to polycystic ovary syndrome).

Characteristic:

Selective estrogen receptor modulators have varying effects on different isoforms of the estrogen receptor. Their use is In infertility, osteoporosis and menopause symptoms.

Indication:

Clomiphene is indicated for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction in women desiring pregnancy. Impediments to achieving pregnancy must be excluded or adequately treated before beginning Clomiphene therapy.

Side effects:

Common adverse drug reactions associated with the use of Clomiphene include: hot flashes, abdominal discomfort, visual blurring (dose-dependent), and/or reversible ovarian enlargement and cyst formation.

Dosage:

As administrated and supervised by physician or doctor.
